KW132092 Designed for the Hong Kong HKM01E05. HKM01E29 Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress.

Application Instructions & History

Built by Boeing at Seattle. Delivered to the US Army on August 5, 1942. Assigned to the 403rd BS. Later, it was transferred to the 63th BS. Ground crew included: Crew Chief Ernest "Ernie" J. Vandal, Assistant Crew Chief John Duck and ground crew: William McMurray, Michael Espinosa.

Nicknamed "The Mustang" The artwork was painted by Sgt Ernie Vandal. On the right side, the Mustang was over painted with a cowgirl. A secondary piece of artwork was added behind the right waist window with a female figure with "Lady Luck".
Application Instructions
Kitsworld Water-slide Decals are printed on the highest quality decal paper, made up of a water-soluble adhesive and printed on a light blue backing paper.

How to Apply Water-slide Decals.
1). Cut around the decal.
2). Using the tweezers, pick up the decal and put it on the surface of the water - it may curl or sink, but this is normal.
3). Take the decal from the water and place it on a paper towel allowing any excess moisture to drain.
4). If using decal solutions then paint the first decal solution onto the scale model, at the point where you intend to stick the decal.
5). Use a paint brush or tweezers to pick up the decal and place it onto the surface.
6). Once the decal is in position dab a clean paper towel on the decal to soak up any left over water.
7). Leave the decal to dry, once completely dry a thin layer of gloss or matte varnish can be applied.
